The Luther Forest Technology Campus is centrally located in the heart of Tech Valley near major local, regional, national and international transportation routes. More than 54 percent of the US and Canadian populations and 60 percent of their industries are located within one day's shipping time (800 miles) from the Luther Forest Technology Campus. This shipping area accounts for 55 percent of the US and Canadian income. Market trends that begin in this diversified area quickly establish significant marketing patterns that are felt, in varying degrees, throughout the rest of the country. When you locate at the campus, you’ll enjoy ready access to the Northern Hemisphere markets.

The campus has dedicated roads that directly access Interstate 87 (less than 1.5 miles from the Campus) and it is strategically located midway between Boston, Montreal, and New York City and in close proximity to train, water and air transportation.
The Albany International Airport is approximately 20 miles south and less than a 30 minute drive from the Luther Forest Technology Campus. The Albany Airport provides direct air service to major US cities and connections to international cities. This airport provides quick access to the markets throughout the US and Canada.
The Saratoga County Airport is a local airport with one 4,700 ft. runway and one 4,000 ft. runway. This nearby airport is ideal to accommodate executive/business aircraft. The airport is located on Geyser Road in the Town of Milton and is approximately nine miles northeast of the Campus.
From New York City:
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) , located in New York City, New York, primarily handles international flights.
LaGuardia Airport (LGA) located in New York City, New York, primarily handles domestic US flights.
Newark International Airport (EWR), located in Newark, New Jersey, handles both domestic and international flights.
Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, located outside of Montreal, is an international airport that serves the Greater Montreal region and the northern Vermont and New York regions.
Boston Logan International Airport, located in Boston, Massachusetts, is currently served by 56 air carriers, 45 of which are scheduled airlines including 16 foreign flag carriers. This airport provides domestic air service to 33 destinations.
In addition to passenger air travel, the Albany County Airport Authority operates a full-service Air Cargo Terminal. This terminal serves FedEx (Albany hub), UPS (Albany hub) and Mobile Air.
Amtrak Railways operates a train station in Saratoga Springs, which offers rail service on a daily basis. The Saratoga Springs train station is located only 15 minutes from the Luther Forest Technology Campus. From the Albany-Rensselaer Station, located 35 minutes from the Campus, Amtrak offers a 2 hours and 15 minute rail service to New York City.
Luther Forest is conveniently served by two rail lines, CP Rail and Pan Am Railways.
Intermodal Facility at Halfmoon/Mechanicville – A new intermodal facility operated by Norfolk Southern and Pan Am Railways, scheduled to open in 2010, is less than four miles from the campus.
With dedicated access just 1.5 miles from Interstate 87 (New York’s North/South Corridor) and 20 miles north of Interstate 90 (New York’s East/West Corridor), the Luther Forest Technology Campus supporting road infrastructure is uniquely suited to a "just-in-time" supply model.
The Port of Albany
The Port of Albany is located on the Hudson River only 30 miles from the Luther Forest Technology Campus. The Port has two wharves (4,200 ft. and 1,200 ft.) and an outside storage yard with rail distribution. The Port is open year round and can accommodate ships up to 750 feet in length. The channel depth and width is 32 ft. and 400 ft. respectively. A total of 750,000 tons is moved through this channel annually.
The Hudson River is the eastern and northern border of Saratoga County. Waterways north of the Port of Albany are open approximately nine months out of the year via the Champlain Canal. These waterways are closed only during winter months.
Port of New York
The Port of New York/New Jersey is the largest port complex on the East Coast of North America and is located at the hub of the most concentrated and affluent consumer market in the world. The Port of New York provides immediate access to the most extensive interstate highway and rail networks in the region.
Port of Boston
Boston has a thriving port. As one of the most modern and efficient container ports in the US, the Port of Boston handles more than 1.3 million tons of general cargo, 1.5 million tons of non-fuels bulk cargo and 12.8 million tons of bulk fuel cargo yearly.
Port of Montreal
Montreal is one of the busiest inland ports in the world and is a key transfer point for transAtlantic cargo.
